November 11, 2015

Our 50th episode is a compilation of six interviews we conducted with individuals attending the annual conference of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology that was held in Indianapolis, Indiana from November 3-7. We asked these individuals to discuss the major trend or trends they believe are impacting instructional design, educational technology, and learning sciences.

We were fortunate to be able to interview the following:

Dr. Tony Betrus, State University of New York, Potsdam
Dr. Chuck Hodges, Georgia Southern University
Dr. Albert Ritzhaupt, University of Florida
Dr. Sharon Smaldino, Northern Illinois University
Dr. John Cowan, Northern Illinois University
Alex Masulis, Senior Editor of Educational Technology, Routledge

The trends discussed included such areas as MOOCs, ethics in instructional design, and data analytics.

We have two recommended readings for the week.
