Episode 48 Trends for the Weeks of September 28-October 11More VR/AR, Tablets & Smartphones, Network Security & Privacy, and Wearables

October 15, 2015

We discuss the trends and issues we observed during the weeks of September 28-October 11 as we flipped resources into our Flipboard magazine (http://bit.ly/trendsandissues). In this episode of our podcast, we discuss 4 trends. The first trend is one that continues to remain a trend--Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.  News and articles about virtual reality and augmented reality once again dominated the resources we flipped into the magazine. The second trend is tablets and smartphones. There were a number of resources that focused on the Surface Pro, the iPad Pro, and the recent iOS update to version 9. The third trend was network security and privacy. The final trend is one that we have not seen in sometime: wearables. A number of resources were flipped on new wearable devices such as gesture rings and wireless ear buds.

We have three recommended readings for the week.
