We discuss the trends and issues we observed during the weeks of June 2-14, 2015 as we flipped resources into our Flipboard magazine (http://bit.ly/trendsandissues). In this episode of our podcast, we discuss 3 trends. The first trend is a recurring one: AR/VR. There have been a number of articles discussing the strides made in VR headsets and software that works on VR headsets. We observed articles discussing how game-makers are getting more involved in designing software for VR headsets. The second trend is security flaws for a number of devices and platforms. The resources reminded us that cyber-security is an on-going issue that we need to be aware of as educational technologists. The final trend is a mixture of recommendations on educational apps and Web site resources that deal with instructional issues. There were a number of helpful resources that included "top 10" lists.
