Episode 21: A Father, a Ring & a Legacy of Gratitude featuring CGO Noah G Press McIntyre

October 19, 2023

Look &/or listen as my guest CGO (Chief Gratitude Officer) Noah G Press McIntyre shares his father’s & his own legacy through the story of a turquoise stone.

You see Noah’s father had been on his healing journey ever since Noah was a child. In the 1970’s he became deeply connected with a community of Navajo artists & spiritual teachers in and around Santa Fe, New Mexico.

He had found this piece of turquoise along his journey… or as with my last guest Susan Maycock … it found him. He had the ring made to hold & express the magic of this stone.

This ring signified his connection to the sacred traditions & ceremonies, culture & community of that place & that land.

When he died in 2017, he left this ring and other pieces of his precious & sacred jewelry to Noah. Noah wears this ring every day and feels his father’s presence all the time… as if their two hearts are touching.

This ring symbolizes the legacy & love his father handed down.

When he helped move his father into a senior living community in 2014, the executive director Todd Raymond at the Benchmark Senior Living Community, learned that his father was a lifelong practitioner of Buddhist meditation. Todd was eager to have Noah’s father teach weekly classes at their facility.

On Father’s Day 2017, Noah’s father’s health took a turn for the worse. He entered into hospice and moved to a rehab/nursing facility to live out the rest of his life.

This ring & his fathers Buddhist meditation classes lead Noah to continue and expand on their family legacy.

You see Todd invited Noah to offer his own gratitude, meditation & mindfulness workshops in the same community as his father had offered his Buddhist meditation classes. At his first class, he connected with a woman in the front row who also loved & wore her beautiful turquoise rings. She saw Noah’s fathers ring and instantly felt a connection.

Noah was soon invited to offer his programs at the same rehab/nursing facility where his father passed away.

What an amazing circle of life, work & legacy he and his father shared! And Noah wears & holds his father’s jewelry each time he offers his classes and whenever he needs to connect with his father.

Noah offered daily gratitude programs all throughout the pandemic. He continues to offer these important healing programs. To learn more about this beautiful human, his discover gratitude movement and other offerings visit his website: https://www.noahmcintyre.com/
