How to Live in Troubled Times - The Beatitudes Part 1

Personal policies or ways of viewing the world that has helped me immensely over the years - especially during the last year:

Whatever the mainstream media says is false until proven true.
Whatever a politician or government official says is a lie until proven true.

The prince of this world is the father of lies therefore this world is full of lies.

John 8:44​ ESV - You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

As a Christian, I must be in this world but not of it.

Romans 12:2 ESV - Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

What was predicted of the future in the past seemed to not include the influence of human nature.
