There are absolutely reasons to hold physical gold, silver, platinum over bitcoin. However, every time I speak of the myths/lies forwarded by prominent cryptocurrency investors, many irrational cryptocurrencies HODLers always come after me with furious anger, claiming I’m massively biased against cryptocurrencies and massively biased in favor of precious metals. However, people that make such uniformed accusations completely ignore the fact that I’ve repeatedly levied the exact same criticisms against prominent members of the gold and silver industry that have forwarded myths/lies about precious metals that mirror the myths/lies promoted in the cryptocurrency world. In fact, more than two years ago, I wrote an article criticizing gold dealers for promoting unrealistic, sensational price predictions about gold- the EXACT same criticism which I’ve levied against large BTC whales that have done the same. Thus, there has been no inconsistency in my critique of shameless propaganda. When I identify it, I criticize it, regardless if it applies to assets I hold or do not hold. So in this podcast, I’ve provided links in the shownotes above to multiple articles I’ve written in which I’ve slammed those in the gold/silver industry for promoting the exact same types of myths promoted by those in the cryptocurrency industry. Hopefully, by reading those articles, people will stop reacting so emotionally to my criticisms of promoted falsehoods I uncover and start reacting in more rational, intellectual manner to improve their investing behavior in the future.
