Why Every Parent Should Enroll His or Her Child in Martial Arts | the tao of skwealthacademy podcast, episode_019
In today’s the tao of skwealthacademy podcast, episode_019, I revisit a topic that seemed to be immensely popular in the past, The Lessons I Learned From Martial Arts That I Still Use Today. I discuss the myths about martial arts embraced by non martial-artists that, for example, people use martial arts to bully others, which is against the entire creed and ethos of martial arts. Instead I return to the principles that constitute the essence of martial arts – discipline, respect, honor, courage, and humility - and how these principles have helped me cope and conquer periods of struggle throughout my life. Furthermore, I explain my theory about why I believe that very parent with a young child should enroll their child in a marital arts class because of the invaluable life lessons that will be instilled in a child at a young age from martial arts training, including helping to mold an ethical, moral and courageous young adult.
