With their victory over Ontario in game 7 of the Western Conference Finals Wednesday night, the Allen Americans became the first team since Idaho in 2004 to reach the Kelly Cup Finals in their first year in the ECHL.
I talked with the voice of the Allen Americans, Tommy Daniels. We discussed the Americans first year in the ECHL and the perception across the league of the old CHL teams, the thrill of calling a game 7, plus looked ahead to the series against the South Carolina Stingrays.
