Into the Sin Bin with Jeff Christian

January 05, 2017

Welcome to this edition of Into the Sin Bin!

Jeff Christian played parts of 21 seasons, playing more than 13-hundred games in North America, Britain and Germany, lit the lamp 544 times, had 738 assists (1282 career points) and racked up more than 3,000 penalty minutes. The true definition of a power forward.
After the 2010-11 season, he retired from the game to be with his daughter Ryan, who was battling stage four cancer. After a three-year absence from the game, but a meeting with Bill Guerin set the stage for him to return to hockey and to lead the Wheeling Nailers to the Kelly Cup Finals last season.
He and I discuss growing up in East Hamilton, Ontario, his "Al Bundy" story, what it was like to get drafted and his call-up to the New Jersey Devils, playing alongside the game's greats, Ryan's fight and his return to hockey.
