This week we have journalist Segann March, the Education Watchdog Reporter for the Shreveport Times. Her recent article shines a light on the continuing presence of HIV and AIDS in communities across the country, including Louisiana, which had the third highest rate of new infections last year.

Segann March is a former Hoosier and recent graduate from Indiana University. She has a serious passion for sociology, traveling, animals and cooking. She likes to watch comedy movies in her down time. To Segann, life is simple. She wants to be a voice for people who can't speak for themselves , to continue her advocacy for underrepresented communities and to change stereotypes.
