Join me as I welcome Dr. Imani Woody to this week’s podcast. Dr. Woody is the Founding Director and CEO of Mary’s House for Older Adults, a developing LGBT-friendly residential housing in Washington, DC. She is also a mayoral appointee of the DC GLBT Advisory Council, and is the Program Officer for the Older Adults Advisory Council for the Metropolitan Community Churches (my church!). She serves as the Chair and Program Executive for Services and Advocacy for SAGE Metro DC and is a Board member of the LGBT Technology Partnership, as well as having served on many boards including the Mautner Project and Women in the Life Association.

I met Dr. Woody at the recent White House National LGBT Elder Housing Summit and was delighted to have a chance to speak to her about issues affecting the LGBT aging population and about Mary’s House.
