Chasing Common Ground: Lifestyle Conversations with Chris Liddle
Episode 127 - Isatu Fofanah
Imagine you're a little kid, and you're born amidst a civil war in Sierra Leone. All you want to do, is be a kid, go to school, have fun, get good grades and live your life.
Sometimes life just doesn't work that way. That's what we're here to hear about.
It's that simple desire to live a happy life that eventually brought Isatu Fofanah to Canada. Isatu is a laser focused individual who has enjoyed being athletic from a young age. There is no doubt to grow up in Ponoka, AB would be out of her comfort zone coming from Sierra Leone, so she had to make some serious adaptations. It seems after all these years she's still not much of a fan of our climate or our snow.
But despite everything that might seem like a major obstacle to someone like me, she rose to become a track star with a scholarship in the states and represented Canada on the global stage in track until she eventually had to retire due to injuries. However, that doesn't mean that chasing after goals is over for her. She finds a great purpose in training people and finding their greatest potential and she has big goals for the future.
Go learn about Ice, find out what makes her who she is. Thanks for supporting The Lifestyle Chase!
