Chasing Common Ground: Lifestyle Conversations with Chris Liddle
Episode 82 - Chris Liddle on Vision Quests, Ripple Effects, Leading without a title, Time to Pivot, Learning through vulnerability and Communication
This is the second consecutive solo episode where I focus on some topics I wanted to talk about. I talk about what I mean when I talk about going on a vision quest, I talk about making a ripple effect in the lives of others, I talk about how leadership doesn't mean having the title of leader which is something that always reminds me of Robin Sharma's book "The Leader Who Had No Title". I talk about time to pivot and how it relates to assessing your "why" and what you are feeling in your current environment. I also talk about how learning through the vulnerability of others can help to shift perspective in your own situations, sometimes it makes you realize you aren't struggling as much as you think or sometimes it gives you a new outlook on what you can do to move forward. Finally, I reflect on communication and the importance of honesty and transparency in all aspects of life.
I hope you enjoy this one, I promise I'll have a guest for the next episode but in the meantime, the ratings on iTunes have been noticed - it means a great deal and helps me grow the audience of the podcast. If you enjoy this one, please share with a friend or shoot me a message to say you're listening to it.
