Charles Jones Blades: The Knife Junkie Podcast (Episode 508)
Charles Jones of Charles Jones Blades joins Bob "The Knife Junkie" DeMarco on Episode 508 of The Knife Junkie Podcast (https://theknifejunkie.com/508).
Each Charles Jones blade is made entirely by hand, from start to finish, in house. Jones prides himself on his heat treatment and thermal cycling to maximize the toughness of the blade steel. His chosen temperature, time and quench for each steel maximizes hardness and edge retention.
Though beautiful, every Charles Jones blade is meant for work, whether a small trapper, large chopper or sword. He believes that the type of blade steel used in making a knife should compliment the intended use of the design.
Charles Jones Blades are currently being made from 1095, 01, W2, 80CRV2 and AEB-L.
