Hillary Clinton Lies Part Two Benghazi [The Johno Show Episode 337]
This week in the Clinton Lies series we take a look at Hillary Clinton and her disastrous time as Secretary of State under the Obama administration and her involvement or denial thereof in the Benghazi attacks.
On September 11, 2012 Islamic terrorists attacked the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, killing U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith along with CIA contractors Tyrone S. Woods and Glen Doherty at a CIA compound hours after Stevens was killed. It’s important to note that Stevens was the first U.S. Ambassador killed in the line of duty since 1979.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would have Americans believe this terrorist attack was a complete surprise to her. In fact, Clinton was the first person in the Obama administration to attempt to falsely tie an anti-muslim YouTube video, called Innocence of Muslims, to the Benghazi attacks despite what we now know were internal conversations at the white house to not tie those two things together. She made an initial statement which MSNBC posted at 10:32pm that day and moments later at 11:12pm she sent her daughter, Chelsea Clinton an email saying officers were killed in Benghazi by an al Qaeda-like group. The day after the attacks Clinton sent an email to the Egyptian prime minister writing quote "we know the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attack, not a protest." But the outward lie to the American people continued for days, using the video as the scapegoat for the attacks.
The truth is U.S. security officer Eric Nordstrom twice requested additional security for the mission in Benghazi from the State Department. He went so far as to send a chronological listing of over 200 security incidents including militia gunfights and bomb attacks dating from June 2011 to July 2012. 48 of those incidents were directly located in Benghazi.
Let’s just highlight some of those attacks. In April 2012 an IED was thrown at a convoy carrying the United Nations Special Envoy to Libya. No one was injured in that attack. In May 2012, an Al-Qaeda affiliate claimed responsibility for an attack on the International Red Cross office in Benghazi. Resulting in the International Red Cross suspending all operations in Benghazi saying they were "appalled" by the attack and "extremely concerned" about escalating violence in Libya. On June 10 the British ambassador to Libya survived an assassination attempt in Benghazi. The British Foreign Office immediately withdrew all consular staff from Benghazi.
These weren’t just angry people ranting in the streets as Americans were initially lead to believe. These were coordinated efforts of terror. And what happened to Mr. Nordstrom’s requests? They were ignored by State Department official Charlene Lamb who is quoted as saying she wanted to keep the security presence in Benghazi "artificially low."
In her January 2013 testimony before Congress, Secretary Clinton claimed security decisions at the Benghazi compound had been made by others, stating quote: "The specific security requests pertaining to Benghazi were handled by the security professionals in the State Department. She says quote “I didn't see those requests, I didn't approve them, I didn't deny them.”
Do you remember back when Hillary Clinton was running against Obama and her campaign produced that 3AM advertisement? Well I certainly don’t want someone who responds with “I didn't see those requests, I didn't approve them, I didn't deny them.” What a great way of wiping your hands clean with the blood of innocents. Ok, you didn’t see those requests but do you pick up a newspaper? Do you watch CNN? Cause you can’t tell me that when the International Red Cross and the British pulled out of Libya that you were completely unaware that stuff was getting real in Benghazi.
Secretary Clinton personally stationed Ambassador Stevens in Benghazi because she wanted that po
