How does a man who came to know Jesus as a 12-year-old but spent 40 years in the wilderness running from God find his way back to the Lord? This is the story of Coach Darren Hernandez, one of redemption through Christ Jesus and the unstoppable love of God.

Darren Hernandez became head football coach at Kapolei High School in 2000, where he coaches and teaches. A sports broadcaster for Spectrum OC 16 TV, Coach Hernandez graduated from Campbell High School, played football in California before joining the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors in 1986-1987. He earned his degree from Southern Connecticut State University. He’s married to Dr. Brenda Hernandez, a cancer research scientist at the University of Hawaii. They have two children Zack and Zoe.

Psalm 32:8, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”
