What does it feel like to return to your high school alma mater after becoming Miss Hawaii to serve in an that advances the institution – enriching the lives of thousands of students and families with academic excellence in a Christian community? This is the story of Billie Takaki Lueder.

Billie Kiyoka Takaki Lueder is the Director of Institutional Advancement at her alma mater, Hawaii Baptist Academy where she garners support throughout the community and from the school’s many supporters throughout the United States. She graduated from University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Masters in Public Administration and an undergraduate degree in English. As Miss Hawaii 2000, Billie’s platform was peer mentoring – which she promoted in Hawaii, on the mainland, and Japan. She is married to Randy, and they have daughters, Randie (11) and Reese (9).
