When Pastor Roy Sasaki (also known as Pastor Rocky) meets people, you see the joy in his eyes. You may find him praying with them, too. He loves sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. He carries his harmonica everywhere and he loves playing it – especially for children. His passion is to minister to the sick, and he is often called to visit the sick in hospitals to pray with them and their families. His wife, Dely Sasaki, has also cared for the sick, particularly children and families as a pediatric nurse.
Pastor Rocky graduated from Lahainaluna High School, received his Bachelor of Arts from Iowa State Teacher’s College and Bachelors of Divinity from Garret Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. He was ordained as a United Methodist Pastor in 1960. Dely graduated from Kauai High School and Northwestern University with her Bachelor’s in Nursing.
