Giving Back- Rykin Enos
What’s it like to give back to a place where you’ve received so much? Rykin Kainoa Koichi Enos represents all those who have been blessed by God, and when given the opportunity, turn around and bless others in return. While attending Kamehameha, he focused on school as well as sports and worked hard to be the best athlete he could be. Football and basketball were the main sports in his life growing up. In high school he also ran track and was on the sailing team. Eventually his hard work and determination paid off when he was able to walk on to the University of Hawaii football and basketball team. He played football for 3 years and basketball for one year. He graduated from the University of Hawai’i Manoa, and returned to his high school alma mater as an assistant football coach for the Kamehameha Warriors.
Rykin Kainoa Koichi Enos was raised in Aiea and Kalihi by his loving grandmother. Raised as a Christian, he’s done his best to hold true to those values. He attended Christian schools all his life, which helped educate him with regard to his faith and its importance. He attended Grace Bible, Waiolani Judd Nazarene, and in 7th grade was accepted into Kamehameha Schools Kapalama where he graduated.
Proverbs 3:28 says, “Do not say to your neighbor, “Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you”– when you already have it with you.”
