How does a church of 12 people in Hermosa Beach planted by Ralph and Ruby Moore in 1971 eventually grow to more than 2,400 churches planted across America and around the world (on every continent)? Persistence and longstanding vision it may be described as “a cluster of churches” built on the understanding that the Great Commission includes both disciplemaking and church planting.
Ralph and Ruby Moore are the lead pastors at Hope Chapel Honolulu. They served as youth pastors for seven years before planting the first Hope Chapel. Their two children, Carl and Kelly, both serve God. Carl and his wife, Kanani, pastor Anchor Church, formerly Hope Chapel Kaneohe. Kelly and her husband, Travis, conduct ministry in India from California.
