How does a woman born in Japan move to Amherst, Massachusetts for college, eventually serve in a foreign policy think tank in Honolulu, Hawaii end up meandering in Asia for a year before returning to New England for a master’s at Tufts University? It is just part of the story of Yumiko Nakagawa who joins us by phone from Boston. Along the journey she encountered the love of Jesus Christ. Her relationship with Jesus has made all the difference. Pastor Yumiko serves as assistant pastor at Highrock Brookline with lead pastor Joshua Throneburg. She started attending Highrock, an Evangelical Covenant Church, upon her return to New England over 10 years ago. She is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
