The journey from living behind a false self to embracing our true identity in Christ is illuminated through Peter’s story. This false self, born from fear and past wounds, drives us to hide our perceived unlovable parts. Through Peter’s restoration, we see how Jesus intentionally meets us in our places of deepest shame, transforming painful memories and replacing lies with truth. We can find freedom from the protective mechanisms we’ve built and embrace our authentic identity in Christ.
