How do I know if I need therapy?

As we go through life we will all experience emotional ups and downs as well as different traumas in life.  How do we know if we need to see a professional? I always encourage people to go to therapy if they feel that they need emotional support in life.

But keep this in mind:

1) Have a goal in mind of what you want to accomplish through therapy.

2) Find a therapist who will listen without you feeling judged, and to whom you feel comfortable talking

3) Find a Catholic therapist Whose Catholic views align with the Church
