I'm an absolute sucker for a good love poem, and this is one of the best in the English language. Elizabeth Barrett Browning's #43 in her "Sonnets from the Portugese" and it's a beauty.

An artist friend of mine once said if he was born 150 earlier, he would have asked Elizabeth out on a date. I told him if I was born 150 years earlier, I would have challenged him to a duel.
