"Ozymandias" is a sonnet written by the English Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. It was first published in 1818 and is considered one of Shelley's most famous and enduring poems. The poem tells the story of a traveler who encounters a ruined statue in the desert and reflects on the transient nature of human power and glory.
