Homeostasis, the brain’s method of maintaining a stable internal environment, is crucial for the overall health and behaviour of dogs. Dr. Uhde explained that disruptions in the brain’s homeostasis can lead to behavioural issues, making understanding this balance essential for effective training and development. The brain constantly seeks equilibrium, and understanding this can significantly alter our approach to training.

Dr. Uhde’s insights shed light on how the brain’s quest for homeostasis influences a dog’s response to various training techniques.
