Set in the modern day, 24-year old British soldier, Hedrick, recently completed six-months of training in Belize. His budding romantic interest in fellow Brit, Elsalyn, a relief worker and medical trainee in Bajo Chiquito, Panama, leads him to traverse the Darién Gap alongside migrants--basically as an educational trip for himself. This voice memo is what he recorded just hours before the two would meet as he exits the jungle.

This story is more based in reality than many I have created.
