Carrie Wade is a staff writer at Autostraddle and she’s someone that we both admire. So it seemed only natural that we’d have her on our show! This is the third episode in our miniseries, Building a Better Community.

But how does this relate to the disability community?
One in five people in the US has some kind of disability. This means there are seemingly infinite perspectives out there, and sharing them is always a good thing, divided as the disability community may be. And adding those voices is a good first step in making the disability community better.
More importantly, Carrie Wade writes in a way that is accessible to everyone. All too often, our opinions are shared in an echo chamber. Not Carrie’s.
