Cybersecurity continues to be a hot topic in the United States and, in fact, around the world. We have witnessed numerous data breaches, malware attacks, and now the latest trend, ransomware — holding a computer system hostage until a payment is made. It seems that data breaches are almost inevitable. If you become a target, it becomes simply a question of when. So, how do we keep ourselves and our older adult parents and loved ones from becoming a target? We are joined today by Matthew Herren, an expert in cybersecurity to help us look into this topic further. Many older adults now use their computers to do their banking transactions, from paying bills to making deposits. Matt works with the banking industry to help create security strategies. He is going to share his knowledge with us today about how to stay safe and also talk about what is coming in the future in the way of payment technology.
