in the wake of the killing of george floyd by a police officer in minneapolis, peaceful and violent protests alike have rose across the nation. there is no correct, immediate, concrete answer to police brutality and systemic racism in america—but where do we begin in righting our wrongs? today, tom and rp are in conversation with neil phillips, founder of the Visible Men Movement and Visible Men Academy, a charter school in bradenton, florida. neil poses the idea that justice is inadequate for the lives of black americans lost, and what is needed is "justness." neil is a nationally recognized voice on the topic of race, diversity, and inclusion in America. he has delivered award-winning presentations, including Race to Truth and A Conversation with Norman Lear as well as consulting programs that confront diversity-related challenges with fresh perspectives and advocate seizing the opportunities that the rapidly changing national demographic present.
