3.60 Antony and Cleopatra Depart While Rome Takes Full Control Over Egypt
In this last part of several episodes, I wrap up the history of Cleopatra the 7th, Marc Antony, and their on-going conflict with Antony’s fellow Roman leader, Octavian. In the end, Octavian wins out, and becomes the first emperor of Rome, Caesar Augustus. Egypt comes to be controlled by a Roman prefect, who attempts to keep the formerly great nation reliably Roman.
