TATL #5: Skillful Use of Videos in the Classroom (part 2)

October 29, 2015

Main Content Emily and Roger continue their discussion of the effective use of video in the classroom. Review of the Setup: Emily puts all her video links and time of the video she wants to show in an email that she sends to herself. Then she goes to class a few minutes earlier, opens all the video links first (let advertisements run through), or she cues the videos forward to the point where she wants to show to her students. She also tests the volume levels for the videos. Example of Sustain: Geeky solution (Roger) - get the embed code (url code) and put on personal blog (bypasses the advertisements) Roger uses Posthaven for his personal blog. Human solution (Emily) - video downloader tool: FastestTube and keep on your computer or a USB stick. Links: Youtube.com TeacherTube.com Howcast.com Learn.ist What's In My Bag?
