Description:
This podcast episode is a little different than our normal episodes; it is a 1hour long residency application advice webinar that was put on by experts from around the US hosted by our previous podcast guest Dr. Aiyer and OrthoMentor.
We wanted to bring you this webinar because during this pandemic, many of the 3rd year medical students have been wondering what the application season will be like next year. Many schools are already discussing canceling all Sub-Is for the year, something that will affect not only residency programs, but also the students who have been coordinating those rotations and audition rotations. While most of the experts in the episode are Orthopedic program directors, Orthopedic surgeons and foot and ankle experts, I found that it was applicable to all specialties. Personally, I want to go into Internal Medicine and specialize in GI, and I found this conversation not only informative, but it opened my eyes to parts of the application process and how it may change in the next 12 months.
