Here are the highlights of this episode:
Melissa's ideal clients that her team enjoys working with are those in small to medium-size companies who do repetitive presentations or doing a sales & marketing pitch. As she indicated, they are doing the exact same onboarding webinars for customers, and they are doing this to drive adoption engagement and also as a source of their revenue growth. Doing live zoom webinars has started to make them feel exhausted, and they're doing this continuously because there are new customers or perhaps new team members coming through. Adding the fact of the different time zones as well. These folks will just start to upload it on YouTube or other platforms but they're sacrificing direct customer engagement, so they believe people only like live webinars. But Melissa says this is a misconception and simply not true. She says automating your training or onboarding doesn't mean you're offering your customers a worse experience; oftentimes it means offering a BETTER experience because you just made that information accessible when they want it. Melissa's team is doing this because they want everyone to have their valued time back and to have that freedom as well.
Melissa’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): Melissa advises that if you can do one thing right now, take your 'best' demo; record it, host it on YouTube or any platform and offer it immediately to customers who are new to your platform. The quicker they learn your product offering, then they're most likely to stick around and the more loyalty there's going to be right away. You can still do live events but give people alternatives that they can access right now at their own time.
