Effective immediately, Eli Lilly has announced it will soon cap costs for its most popular insulin products at $35 per month. High prices have driven some diabetics to ration the drug, in some cases with disastrous consequences. People without insurance will be eligible as long as they sign up for Eli Lilly’s copay assistance program. President Biden has been pushing drug companies to curb prices on essential drugs.

A Clay High School teacher faces child seduction and other felony charges, after prosecutors say he sent nude pictures of himself to a 15 year old student in November and December. 25 year old Caleb Long is also accused of sending lewd text messages and of kissing the student. He was put on leave December 7th, and has since been fired.

A bright note in an otherwise disappointing season at Purcell Pavilion last night, as Notre Dame players sent Coach Mike Brey out in his final home game with an 88-81 win over 25th ranked Pitt. The Irish finish the regular season at Clemson Saturday, and barring a miraculous run, his Notre Dame career will end in next week's ACC Tournament.

Big Ten basketball tonight includes Purdue at Wisconsin, and Michigan at Illinois.

In the NBA: the Chicago Bulls downed the Piston in Detroit, 117-115. The Indiana Pacers play at San Antonio tonight.

Spring traning baseball in Arizona: the Cubs over the Seattle Mariners 5-to-3. The White Sox lost to Cleveland, 9-to-6.
