Studio Talk: Real Conversations About Mental Health.
Getting Started in Therapy. Episode 2
In this episode the co-hosts, Xiomara and Victoria, discuss how to get started with therapy. They explain the difference between “needing” and “benefiting” from mental health services and offer some examples of when to consider reaching out to a mental health provider. In addition they have an honest discussion about children and their potential mental health needs. Xiomara and Victoria also discuss some of the different barriers that potentially impede people, particularly marginalized and underserved populations, from taking that first step towards getting mental healthcare.
