–No, Pope Francis isn’t backing science over religion in the issues of evolution and the Big Bang. He’s just saying God got it started, which is not at all scientific.

–We admit that we “love” serial killers, and talk about some of the reasons they are so fascinating to us.

–Who are the serial killers that interest us most? Zodiac Killer, Jack the Ripper, and a few other names pop up here. Why them? There’s something about the unknown killer who taunted police that draw us in.

–A review of the 2008 book “Monster of Florence” by Douglas Preston and Mario Spezi.

–A discussion of the best serial killer themed feature films.


In hour 2, we welcome back professor of sociology and criminologist Dr. Scott Bonn to speak about his new book, “Why We Love Serial Killers.”  We delve into some of the popular myths about serial murderers, discussing how these myths have been perpetuated.  We converse honestly about criminal profiling, describing how useful (or even un-useful) it can be.  And, of course, we talk about some of the main reasons so many us are fascinated by the criminal mind.
