Our Vicar, Simon, draws from a number of passages in 1 Samuel to show the important contribution that Jonathan made in the life and ministry of David. Jonathan, as Simon shows, was committed to truth even above loyalty to Saul; committed to friendship that strengthened and encouraged David in his task; and was committed to humility, knowing and being comfortable in the role God had assigned him.
