Purple Panic by Ella Shine
Princess Gina's owner is very fussy, but Cassie and Lina think they'll be able to care for her guinea pig just fine... until Gus runs off with the pet-sitting instructions, and Princess Gina can't even be seen!
Kids age 5-8 will adore this fresh new series for emerging and independent readers featuring best friends, magical pets and a grumpy, talking cat, with plenty of action, mess and adventure, and a sprinkling of the unexpected.
Ella Shine is a pen name for authors Penny Reeve and Cecily Anne Paterson who have created Purple Panic and five other Pet Sitters stories.
Penny is the author of over 25 books for young people, from picture books to YA titles, while Cecily has written eight middle fiction titles for pre-teens and younger teenagers. Both authors have books on the NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge, are recipients of the CALEB Award.
Cecily Paterson was a semi-finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award, and third place getter in the Australian Christian Book of the Year Awards.
Both Penny and Cecily grew up overseas in countries that were not Australia. And both of them have dogs, not cats.
