Sports Palooza Radio: Erik Sherman Discusses the Glenn Burke Story

July 09, 2015

Before Jason Collins, before Michael Sam, there was Glenn Burke. By becoming the first -- and only -- openly gay player in Major League Baseball, Glenn would become a pioneer in his own way, nearly 30 years after another black Dodger rookie, Jackie Robinson, broke the league's color barrier. Author Erik Sherman talks about his book, "Out at Home," The True Story of Glenn Burke, Baseball's First Openly Gay Player, written with Glenn Burke.

Of course, we also talk about what's going on in the world of sports and whatever else we want to talk about!

Join Lisa Iannucci and Ej "The Rainmaker" Garr each Thursday at 1 p.m. for the best in sports entertainment!
