61: Ken Williams-MLB

July 23, 2019

Ken Williams is one of baseball’s most overlooked and forgotten stars. He terrorized pitchers throughout the 1920s and ended his career with a .319 batting average, 196 home runs and 916 RBI, not bad for a guy who only topped 100 games played nine times in his career – that’s because he really didn’t make it until he was 30-years old. Dave Heller, author of “Ken Williams, A Slugger in Ruth’s Shadow,” joins SFH for a terrific conversation about this forgotten hero.
