Motivation and 3 Notions of Consciousness [SSL81]
The nature of consciousness has been a confounding topic of investigation in science and of debate in philosophy, and a common theme in religion throughout the ages. Reflection and reasoning are uniquely human fortes. We wonder about our humanness on a regular basis using these faculties. That wondering, in itself, is uniquely human and part of what consciousness entails.
Today, I will use a couple of recent articles I've encountered as a springboard to explain the 3 major notions of the nature of human consciousness and how these are leveraged to motivate us. See show notes for links to these here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/13981643
