Lent means Springtime! But, in February–in the Northern Hemisphere–Spring has not sprung. Life exist in darkness–underground. It will be weeks before new life is seen. The same is often true for us in our dark times. The spiritual practices of Lent and the increased awareness call us to a new depth of introspection as we invite rebirth into our lives. Each year, the season of Lent lasts for the 40 days + Sundays prior to Easter Sunday.
