Today’s guest lives with several hundred people in the impoverished urban setting of Uptown Chicago within the intentional community called Jesus People USA established over 40 years ago during the Jesus Movement of the early 1970s. You’ll hear about how she found belonging and acceptance there after surviving a very difficult childhood in the foster care system in Philadelphia.

Hers is a fascinating story and you'll hear how the community works, how you can visit, help, or maybe even start one of your own.
