Eps 89: Exploring Passive-Agression, guest Dr Leon Seltzer - Spark My Muse

November 25, 2016

There's no murky and perilous terrain like a passive-aggressive encounter. In some cases, a person may seem to intensionally forget something important, or work behind-the-scenes to subtly manipulate you, or try to get you to read his or her mind by a snide verbal torpedo or strange innuendo and then perhaps grow sullen if you don't get their drift–and if you ask for a clearer explanation, emotional honesty or for them to explain their intent, they will deny any of your concerns or suspicions and prolong the mind games. Passive-agression comes out in many ways, but the effects are long-ranging.

My guest Leon Seltzer opens up this confusing and complex interpersonal or relationship booby-trap. Together we uncover its origins and how to avoid it in ourselves (we are all guilty of doing in some way, sometimes), and we discuss how to navigate through it when we encounter it. ( If we left any of your questions about passive-agression unanswered, please submit your inquiries and we will revisit the topic at a later date.
