Ongoing unanswered prayers or chronic suffering can turn into a stigma when prayers aren't answered or situations don't have points of resolutions. The result is that is deep feeling of disconnection and faith communities are left wondering how to respond. When healing doesn't, can't or won't come, when problems, disability, or illnesses are long term, complicated, the people who suffer can fall through the cracks and the cracks can be sizable.
