Soul School - Lesson 48: Embodying Ritual and Transition - Spark My Muse
It has been said (I think rightly) that ritual came along to combat our core human fears and anxieties. While unexamined or superstitious rituals don't heal our fears, thoughtful sacramental living can add new richness to our lives. This richness may involve ritualizing and celebrating certain meaningful moments by showing how the invisible can represented by the visible. From there, we pull what is only abstract notions from our minds into the tangible world in which we live, love, breath, and move. We can be live a more integrated and more fully embodied life that does not so easily slip into the mind/body dualistic fallacy. Today, I explain this concept and challenge you to leave both pure abstractions behind and unexamined rituals behind and draw out integrated ritual in new ways.
