Catapulting into a top-rated iTunes podcast “The Liturgists”, Mike McHargue and crew found themselves inundated with science-related questions. Hence, the spin-off podcast "Ask Science Mike" was born.

In it, Mike lets supporters of the show select the questions he answers–anything from questions people would be terrified to ask their pastors or friends like: what is the science behind why an adult might be sexually attracted to a child; to questions that intersect with the spiritual–like what is the science behind why we might pray to a God we have decided we don’t believe in anymore.

Our conversation gets into ideas about “hearing from God”; superstition; Mike's own journey from Fundamentalist to Atheist and to spiritual skeptic; his surprising rediscovery of the concept of the Trinity; and the roots of mystery within the Christian faith tradition that many people in the West know little or nothing about.
