Often our mouth is a defense mechanism that is meant to protect. It is a tool that can aid or further get us in trouble. Proverbs says that life and death is in the power of the tongue and we will eat the fruit of our words. Cautionary tales advise to choose our words wisely but do we?
We do so many ‘Black’ women have such a reputation for not being able to bridle the tongue? I’m not saying become a door mat, What I am saying is that like it is said in Ecc there is a time for everything under the sun. A time to speak and a time to be quiet.
Why do you speak?
Is it to be heard?
Is it to air your own opinion?
Is it to control others?
We have to really take time to evaluate our selves.
This area is one that really needs looking into. It is the portion that fits in to the ‘angry stereotype’ there is truth there are you willing to discover it?

Listen to the things that are coming out of your mouth. Do the promote life or death.
