The Road of Trials.

There is nothing quite so reckless as a teenage boy. In conversation with Rob, who is now in his twenties, I intended to tell a tale of recovery. He has relatively perfect health and mobility but Rob broke his back after jumping from a cliff in his teens. I wanted to find what happens when the boy who risks it all, loses.

What became more interesting, and became the story, is the inevitability that boys risk everything for pride, belonging, ignorance and sometimes just out of boredom. Risk, for a teen, is as important as life.
